AutoRC Model 1 maintenance manual Action: Replace Secondary Battery Overview: The AutoRC uses a secondary battery in addition to the main battery pack. Where the main battery pack is used for vehicle propulsion, the secondary battery is used to provide an electrical source for vehicle starter/cockpit electronics in the event the main battery pack is drained to zero charge. The following steps provide instructions on how to perform this maintenance. Steps: * Turn off the vehicle. * Disconnect the red cable from the positive and the black cable from the negative terminals from the existing battery. * Remove placement bolts/harness and put them to the side. * Remove the battery from the battery tray and place it away from the vehicle. * Insert a new battery (EEG-771091) into the battery tray. * Attach the harness and tighten the bolts. * Apply lubricant (ELB-110021) generously on the positive terminal, not touching the negative terminal. * Apply lubricant (ELB0110021) generously on the negative terminal, not touching the positive terminal. * Attach black cable to the negative terminal and tighten. * Attach the red cable to the positive terminal and tighten it. * Turn on the vehicle. * Reset the clock/settings to match the current time and date.
