Retool-hosted, multi-tenant
A Retool-hosted, multi-tenant instance is one that runs on the same infrastructure as other multi-tenant instances which are isolated from one another. Retool manages and hosts the service for you without the need to deploy or configure an instance. Any changes that Retool makes, such as adding new features, apply immediately to all multi-tenant organizations, with no user action required.
Retool-hosted, single-tenant
A Retool-hosted, single-tenant instance is deployed on its own dedicated infrastructure that is not shared with any other instance. Retool deploys and hosts a stable release instance on its infrastructure, and maintains it for you. You get all of the benefits of a cloud service but in a zero-maintenance single-tenant environment.
Single-tenant instances are best suited for organizations with strict security, compliance, or operational requirements that would prohibit the use of a multi-tenant Retool instance.
